Jeans


yay jeans done, i'm feeling pretty proud of myself right now. Take that texturing. I used the normal map to make the AO and i think it turned out great. Unfortunately i'm running into a problem with the normal though since i modeled it in build pose and now since he is sitting the wrinkles arn't exactly right. I wish i had the time and the computer power to figure out a solution for this, clusters maybe.....or blend shapes or dynamic cloth.

New Rig

I just finished rigging this last night. I added some extra skinning joints to help the deformation and they are working really well. Perticularly the ones i put off the back of the shoulders, they make the scapula move properly, especially when i move the arms out straight in front of the body, which is the trouble i was having with the Captain America rig.

Ah ha

Hair!
well i started it anyway, it looks alright, better than any of the other methods. The colour and spec are giving me a hard time though. the face just has the colour map right now not the bump or transparency.

Nurbs Curve Face Rig


This is pretty cool, the face is done with nurbs curves so you can grab handles and pull and the face will deform. It gives max control but maybe too much i dunno we will see what the animators think. just the eyes and teeth left to do yay!
